Monthly Competitive Series

These amended rules take effect on March 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 is here and so is the Monthly Competitive Series!!!!

This is how it works:

1.   This competition is open to anyone and everyone.
2.   There are (12) months therefore, a guaranteed amount of (12) prize packages.
3.   Prize pack contents may vary month to month depending on sponsor support.  Also the winner will be invited to join Static Instants as a contributor!
4.  Each month an entrant is allowed to submit a MAXIMUM of (3) photographs.
5.   To enter:   Anyone wishing to enter must email their submissions to STATICINSTANTS@GMAIL.COM.  Please include in the subject or body which photo you would like to apply to what month, your location, and your username……please!  No nudity or obscene material.  Submissions are open from the 1st day to the last day of each month!
6. Voting: Voting will be tabulated by comment votes.  If you would like to vote simply add a comment that contains the NUMBER of the photo you wish to vote for.  Voting is open from the first day to the 7th day of the month for the subject prior.  In the event of a tie for 1st place I (Chris Hake) hold the swing vote!  Only 1 vote per person so choose wisely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. After voting is concluded i will contact the winner and then obtain a mailing address and ship the wining material if the winner is located in the United States.  If  you reside outside of the United States please include that with your email so that an alternative and equivalent replacement can be made unless shipping charges are nominal to those of the United States.  I apologize for any inconvenience.
8. Point System:  The top four shots of each month will also be assigned “points”.  First would gain (10) points, second (7), third (5) and fourth would be (3).  The corresponding places will have special blog buttons detailing their success so that they can share with the world.  Entrants can check their points via the Leader board Page.
9. On January 7th 2013, the overall point leader will win the competitive series as well as a grand prize.

Monthly series subject schedule:

Jan-  Architecture.  Pretty much anything that’s erect.  Lol, I said “PRETTY MUCH”!

Feb-  Street/Public.  Subways, walls, people.  As long as it’s outside and not in the woods.

Mar-  Automotive.  If it has four wheels and goes vroom then it’s game.  Yes this include toys and other related items.

Apr-  Pets.  Anything domesticated.  Spouses don’t count hah!

May-  Flora.  If  it looks like vegetation…….

Jun-   Landscapes.  Pretty simple.

Jul-   Love.  Whatever evokes that fuzzy feeling.

Aug-  B & W.  Black and white shots only, any subject.

Sep-   Edited.  This would include anything with “light painting’, HDR images, exotic colors or anything pc manipulated.

Oct-   Portraits.  Self explanatory.

Nov-  Fauna.  This includes that of which is wild and captive but not home friendly animals!!

Dec-   Free.  Free choice, whatever you would like.
