Profile Update; POD: Marist College

Dina Farmer updated her profile with 5 new shots and one of those also is our POD.  Marist College in Tuscon.  According to Dina, this college is possibly on the way to abandonment.  Like Dina, I hope that that never happens!

Pirates ftw, proven fact.  This little guy is no exception.  Dackel brings our eyes this classic twist on the infant portrait.  Outstanding job as usual ladies!

POD:

I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me today but I swear i’m pms-ing so to speak.  I saw a yolung child at taco bell today who was a little older than my on but he had a crossed eye.  I just observed his behavior while waiting an noticed how he struggled to focus on his food and always seemed to keep his head down when he talked, honestly it probably because he was eating – who knows.  Anyways I was just hit with  a “That sucks” moment and I for some reason began to get choked up.  I don’t knw why.  It bothered me all day.

So I come home and start to put the kids swing set together and then come in for a bit.  I was hanging around and watching the kids and I started snapping off.  I focused alot on my son.  The kid from the bell and Caden are fairly similar in appearance and I was able to catch some nice candids.

Maybe i’m getting soft or maybe I got to the points where my kids are completely changing my attitude and way of thinking.  DAMN KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111

POD: Yellow rose and a little friend

Tisha Clinkenbeard drops this yellow rose with a hitchhiker lol.  Great color on the rose!  I hope everyone has a good holiday or lazy sunday!

POD: Bottoms up

Red, White, Blush or whatever these glasses are made for drinking!

POD: Plated

I just my daughter to her Olive Garden field trip where they could make some cheap and nasty pizza while learning a bit about the garden.  Obviously I had my camera, I captured this and numerous other restaurant other related items but this one stood out to me.  The colors and pattern of the plate are fairly vibrant against the centered white space.  Then they hung it on a neutral paper which makes it complete.  I liked it!

POD: Meow

1107 Photography brings us this repeat shot BIT it’s truly fitting for this month’s theme.  Plus I like so “nah nah nah nah”!

POD: Dupli”city” in Amish “country”

This is a “hole” or deep a** pond that is in Lancaster County heading towards the main part of Amish country.  In color this shot was absolutely horrid due to the drab weather.  B/W however makes it likable by my standards!

POD: Sandra

Loving the soft focus here from shelleydlm!

POD: Blooming pear

Here’s a bloom shot of our ornamental pear tree (at least that’s what I was told) this morning.  I love these blossoms!

POD: Millions of peaches….for me

Peaches comin’ in from my backyard.  Hopefully the deer stay off of them this year so I can actually eat some!

POD: “And what a catch!”

Well Caden and I are droppin’ the ladies off today at a baby shower, this shots seems fitting for today especially since the season starts soon!  Thanks to Dackel for today’s shot!

POD: Peek-a-dog!

S. Harmon bring us this glimpse of a curious pooch!

POD: Given for you

This is one of my first shots that I ever took.  This was on an older entry level Sony Alpha series dslr with the kit lens.  I had no idea what I was doing other than pointing and shooting.  This is still one of my favorite photos.  Enjoy and remember to get those shots in for March!

New entries and POD: On the go

J. Glover produces todays action shot of the NYC subway.  It’s crazy how fast they really go to be honest.  Also, Dawn Haggerty submitted two shots to the March m.c.s. contest.  http://staticinstants.com/march-m-c-s/

POD: Bedroom

Here’s an interesting setup from Elias Williams.  What’s going on here?

POD; Up and away

My lil’ one looking out a window.  This was one of the first shots that we tried with the 35mm 1.8 Nikkor.  Works very well and fast for anyone wondering!
